1). Eligibility for Application

  • Nationality & Academic Qualification

    • A prospective applicant and both parents must be non-Korean.​

    • Have completed all formal curricula that corresponds to Korea's primary and secondary education (12 years) in a foreign country.

​

  • Language Qualification

    • A holder of at least TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) level 4.​

    • A holder of TOPIK level 3 or other Korean proficiency score equivalent to TOPIK level 3, prospective applicant must obtain TOPIK level 4 within 6 months upon entering Republic of Korea should they granted admission. Failure to comply shall result in no visa extension.

  • Interview is conducted only for qualified applicants after online application screening process.

  • Interview is marked by points, 100 points being the highest, and is evaluated based on the average score of entire interviewees.

  • All applicants will be evaluated on learning ability and major aptitude (30pts); expression of intentions (30pts); academic literacy, attitude and overall interview performance (20pts); and language skills (20pts).

4). Initial Pay, Tuition Fees and Scholarships

Fees Estimation for First Semester:

Royal Butler Processing Fee................................................ 150 USD

Admission Fee........................................................................ 100 USD

1st Semester Tuition Fee (without scholarship)........... 2,700 USD

Insurance Fee.......................................................................... 120 USD

Alien Card (Visa) Registration Fee....................................... 30 USD

Pick-Up Service Fee................................................................ 35 USD

On-Campus Dormitory.................................................... 1,400 USD

Note:

* Royal Butler Processing Fee includes online application fee and registration.

* Royal Butler Processing Fee is non-refundable.

* Textbooks, meals, and other expenses are not included.

* Pickup Service and Dormitory are optional.

Scholarships

  • First-Year Students​

    • 40% Tuition Fee Waiver for a holder of TOPIK level 3​

    • 50% Tuition Fee Waiver for a holder of TOPIK level 4

    • 100% Tuition Fee Waiver for Special Selected Scholar, evaluated based on the highest score of the admission evaluation process & among all applicants holding TOPIK level 5

  • Enrolled Students (starting 2nd Semester)

    • Additional tuition fee waiver of up to 100% will be given to qualified students, evaluated on their previous GPA and participation in their studies (representative of student associations, outstanding language proficiency test score, etc).

    • Students must have obtained at least 16 credits per semester and minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.5 scale in order to maintain their tuition fee reduction from the previous semester.

    • Other scholarships offered by external institutions will be available and  provided within the budget by its own standards, and the eligibility requirements shall be determined separately by The Committee of Foreign Students.

    • Scholarship benefits given by Kyungsung University cannot exceed 100% of tuition fee.
